1. On August 11, post delivered reftel to MFA Director for
U.S. and Canadian Affairs Patricia Cortes. Cortes told us
the GOC has not made a final decision on participants, but
will likely include Vice Minister of Defense Sergio
Jaramillo, Armed Forces Commander General Freddy Padilla, and
Director of International Affairs from the Ministry of
Defense Sergio Restrepo Otalora. They have no specific
objectives or issues to report. Post will continue to follow
up on the issue and report any further responses.
