1. (U) Deputy Pol/Econ Chief August 25 delivered reftel
demarche to the Director of the Americas wing at the
Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Masudur Rahman.
Rahman thanked us for the information, but could not comment
on the prospects of similar action on the part of the
Government of Bangladesh. Embassy will relay any additional
information as it becomes availabile.
