1. Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs Office (HMRC) has
provided the responses to the questions posed by the
Department for G.I.K. International Trade Ltd., a United
Kingdom Company, per reftel. The text of the response follows
at para. 2

2. Begin text of UK response to questions posed by the
Department.

a. Question one: Can you confirm an order that was shipped
under license 05-1014531?

b. Answer one: G.I.K. International Trade faxed a statement
to HMRC from the Saudi consignee stating that the items
purchased from G.I.K. under license 05-1014531 had not yet
been used and were in a secure warehouse in Jeddah.

c. Question two: How long has your company been in the
business of importing and selling defense articles? What
other products are sold by your company?

d. Answer two: Over thirty years in this type of business. No
response to the second part of the question.

e Question three: Are you familiar with the restrictions
against the unauthorized re-export or transfer of U.S.-
origin defense articles?

f. Answer three: Fully aware of the prohibitions concerning
U.S. military items.

g. Question four: Who are your regular customers and where
are they located?

h. Answer four: No response.
