(SBU) Germany has no plans to attend Iran's First
International Conference on Nuclear Power Plants,
Environmental and Sustainable Development. Econoff met with
Dr. Joerg Polster, German MFA Desk Officer for NSG issues and
delivered reftel points. Dr. Polster stated that he had not
previously heard of the conference and that the MFA had no
plans to send anyone. Polster also stated he would inform
other ministries of the USG position. Polster stated he did
not know if any representatives from Germany's nuclear
industry were planning to attend.
