(SBU) EconChief passed reftel nonpaper on Iran's November 30 nuclear
conference to MFA Special Representative for International Nuclear
Cooperation and UAE IAEA PermRep Hamad Al Kaabi on November 24. Al
Kaabi said he was not aware of the conference and did not plan to
attend. PolChief separately demarched MFA's Director of Conferences
and International Organizations Yacub al-Hosani on November 24.
Al-Hosani also did not know about the conference and said he could
not imagine the UAEG would attend. (Note: French DCM Vincent Floreani
told Emboffs on November 24 that he had no instructions on this
demarche but would inquire with Paris. End Note.)
