SUBJECT: INL NIGERIA REQUEST APPROVAL FOR PURCHASE OF TWO VEHICLES

In accordance with INL Procurement Policies and Procedures Handbook,
INL Nigeria requests approval to purchase two operational vehicles
with PD&S funds. The Management Assistance Visit (MAV) conducted in
January, 2008 recommends that all vehicles in INL Nigeria's
possession should be donated to the host government as all the
vehicles were purchased to support projects that have long been
concluded.

The MAV also recommended that INL Nigeria perform a vehicle needs
assessment. In anticipation of the donation of project vehicles, INL
Nigeria is requesting approval to purchase a replacement Chevrolet
Suburban and also purchase a small sedan vehicle locally for
operational use.
