1. (U) Post delivered reftel demarche urging African Union
Peace and Security Council members to ramp up pressure on the
Mauritanian junta to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director of
the African Union Division E.T.P. Josakweker on December 18
both orally and by diplomatic note. Josakweker had no
initial response to reftel demarche. Post will send any
