1. (SBU) August 27, Post delivered to the MFA reftel
invitation letter from President Obama to PRC President Hu
Jintao to attend the September 24 UNSC summit on nuclear
nonproliferation and disarmament. PolOff August 28 provided
MFA Arms Control and Disarmament Department Missiles and
Conventional Weapons Division Deputy Director Sun Lei a copy
of the summit concept paper and highlighted that leaders'
remarks at the summit be limited to five minutes. Sun said
he would ensure the information was conveyed to the
appropriate officials.
