At opening of business on August 21, 2009, the Government of
the Republic of Niger Ministry of Foreign Affairs Protocol
Office extended invitations to the diplomatic corps
Ambassadors and international organizations' senior
representatives to attend the taking of the oath ceremony for
Prime Minister Seini Oumarou at 10h30 that same date at the
Presidential Palace. Ambassador Allen declined the
invitation and did not send any US Embassy representative to
the ceremony. We will report septel on the diplomatic corps
and international organizations' absence or attendance at the
ceremony.
