1. (SBU) According to Policy Advisor for Humanitarian
Affairs and Disaster Response Sarah Robertson of the
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Affairs
(DFAIT), DFAIT's Director General for Stabilization and
Reconstruction Elissa Goldberg spoke out at the UNHCR's
Executive Committee meeting on the need for additional land
for another refugee camp in Kenya, specifically in response
to reftel demarche that PolMinCouns had delivered in Ottawa
on September 28. Robertson added that the Canadian Embassy
in Nairobi would next be following up with GOK officials.
