reftel to Brunei's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). On
October 28, 2009, MFAT sent Embassy a response from His Royal
Highness, Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei's Minister of Foreign
Affairs and Trade (MFAT). Complete text of the Foreign Minister's
response is provided.

Thank you for your letter of October 20 and the proposal enclosed on
'Partnering For Food Security: Moving Forward'.

I congratulate you most warmly on the detailed and precise analysis
of current needs set out in the proposal and assure you of Brunei
Darussalam's support.

May I also thank you for the leadership you are personally offering
to this extremely important cause in the United Nations and
throughout the developing world.
