SUBJECT: Request for Leahy Vetting for candidates from the Vietnam
Ministry of Public Security to attend a two-week course at ILEA BKK

1. (SBU) Embassy Hanoi requests the Department's assistance in
screening the following candidates from the Vietnam Ministry of
Public Security nominated to attend a two-week course at ILEA
Bangkok. The training will be conducted in Bangkok, Thailand on
November 9-20, 2009. Initial vetting done at post pursuant to the
Leahy Act and Foreign Assistance Act requirements has resulted in
no derogatory information. POC is PolOff Audrey F.S. Moyer, at
moyeraf@state.gov.
