1. Poland will vote against biotech variety approvals reftel at the
Agriculture Council and the Standing Committee on Food Chain
meetings scheduled October 19. This vote conforms to the Polish
Council of Minister's decision of December 2008 to vote against all
biotech events at the EU level, confirmed by Prime Minister Tusk.
