1. Poloff delivered reftel demarche, diplomatic note, and
aide memoire to the Tihomir Lulic the Head of Section for
International Security in the Croatian MFA. Lulic noted
that, while a formal decision has not yet been made, Croatia
was inclined to support the US candidacy for category "A"
given America's sizable naval presence, both commercial and
military. Post will report if it receives any additional
substantive response.
