1. (SBU) As a follow-up to reftels, PolCouns spoke with MFA Director
for UN Affairs Cosmin Boiangiu on November 24 to reiterate U.S.
support for AmCit candidate Thomas McInerney as IDLO DG. After
consulting with senior MFA leadership, Boiangiu reported that the
GOR had in fact decided to support McInerney over the Italian
candidate.
