Affairs General Directorate of International Economic Affairs
(DIRECON), the trade ministry equivalent. Econoff conveyed the
points and supporting demarche materials to North America Advisor
Jeff Peet and WTO Advisor Rodolfo Vilches. They did not indicate
Chile's position on the initiative but will consider it and report
back to Econoff with any formal decisions.
