Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economic and
Communications Affairs on September 23. U.S. desk officer Jaan
Salulaid and Imre Siil of the MFA's External Economic Policy and
Development Cooperation Department confirmed on November 16 that
"Estonia has decided to support the United States' candidacy for
category 'A' membership in the IMO (International Maritime
Organization) Council."
