1. (SBU) A/DCM delivered demarche points contained in reftel
to MFA Director of the America's Section Maria Isabel de
Resende on 20 January, 2010. Resende stated Angola shares the
same concerns of the international community with respect to
the need for urgent relief for Haiti. However, she stopped
short of suggesting that Angola had any tangible plan of
action to help Haiti. Resende added that the MFA would convey
any intentions of assistance to Haiti at the appropriate
time, and offered no further comment.
