(SBU) 1. Cambodian MFA Director of the Department of
Americas Nay Meng Eang confirmed January 19 that Cambodia is
transferring $50,000 through the United Nations to Haiti
disaster relief efforts. Mr. Nay said that the money would
be transferred through the relevant UN bank account in New
York. Mr. Nay was pleased to hear of USG gratitude for
Cambodia's cooperative efforts and promised to keep us
apprised of any further developments regarding humanitarian
assistance from Cambodia for Haiti.
