2) Militia elusive but UN says their time nearly up 10/03/00 (Sydney Morning Herald) A group of 15 militia narrowly escaped capture in the rugged central highlands of East Timor after bad weather prevented a New Zealand-led force from completing its security sweep of the area, a senior United Nations military official said last night.
