World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, Brazil 25-30 Jan. 2001


An international conference, WORLD SOCIAL FORUM, will take place in Porto Alegre, Brazil on January 25-30, 2001, and already 500 progressive organizations have registered. (www.worldsocialforum.org/). The organizers are desperately struggling to keep up with the growing momentum for this event, because, as the below list of confirmed speakers indicates, it is quickly developing into the most significant world summit against economic globalization.
