Israeli Forces Arrest Three Brothers From Ni'lin
International Solidarity Movement
Three brothers from the Ni'lin were arrested last night (22nd September) as Israeli forces invaded the village at 1am.
Sufiyan Nafar (19), Sadam Nafar (21) and Nafar Nafar (31), were abducted from their homes before the Israeli forces left the village at 3am.
Over 70 soldiers and border police entered the village on foot from the surrounding hills, while 6 army vehicles were seen. Soldiers proceeded to fire many rounds of tear-gas and sound grenades.
International solidarity activists in the area were out in the village attempting to reach the home of a member of the village Popular Committee as they have been repeated targets for arrest by the Israeli army and police. As soldiers confronted them the activists asked for documentation that the area was a Closed Military Zone. The soldiers could not produce the relevant documents, but instead held guns towards the internationals heads and told them that they would be shot.
The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) is a Palestinian-led non-violent resistance movement committed to ending Israel's illegal occupation of Palestinian land. We call for full compliance with all relevant UN resolutions and international law.
