Research Firm Announces Winners of Ballads for Ballots '08 Music Video Contest

-- Winning Republican and Democratic Video Each Receive $5K --
Flemington, NJ, October 2, 2008 - HCD Research announced today the two winners of Ballads for Ballots 2008, its national music video contest.

The winners of the Ballads for Ballots 2008 music video contest are:

Democratic Music Video: Song of Hope: by David Steele

HCD Research partnered with the Tribune Company to host Ballads for Ballots 2008, on its mediacurvescom web site and on the Tribune Company's The Swamp web site. The Swamp is a politics and government news site/blog and one of the Tribune Company's top web sites.

During the contest, Fox Interactive featured video entries on its national web sites and examples of the music video entries were played periodically on XM Radio.

Americans were invited to submit 45 to 90-second, original music videos during July 25 and August 25, in support of the two presidential candidates or political parties.

The Media Curves web site provides the media and general public with a venue to view Americans' perceptions of popular and controversial media events and advertisements.
