Nestlé's Annual General Meeting of shareholders!
Action underway at Nestlé's Annual General Meeting of shareholders!
Nestlé's shareholders are
gathering today in Lausanne, Switzerland and we're inviting
them to receive messages directly from you!
Orang-utan activists are removed
from in front of Nestlé's AGM today
Our activists
inside the meeting have unfurled a banner directly over the
heads of shareholders asking them to 'Give the orang-utans a
break'. Outside activists dressed as orangutans greeted
shareholders as they arrived! You can send your own message to shareholders to
request that Nestlé removes Sinar Mas products from it's
supply chains completely.
Over 200.000 e-mails have been sent to Nestlé telling them they are not taking enough concrete action to protect Indonesia's rainforests and peatlands. They are still using palm oil - and pulp and paper products - from notorious forest destroyer Sinar Mas.
Our activists at the meeting are asking shareholders to visit: http://www.greenpeace.org/kitkat to receive your messages. Use the hashtag #Nestle in your tweet to shareholders or you can use the comment function on the page itself if you don't have a Twitter account.
