Updated website makes holiday planning a breeze
July 29, 2011 –
Tourism Australia has re-launched their global campaign website www.nothinglikeaustralia.com/nz with additional content and enhanced functionality, helping Kiwi agents and holidaymakers to better research and plan an Australian holiday.
New features to the award-winning website include an ‘in the area’ button which allows users to discover local tourism products and attractions in their area of interest. Images as well as links to operator websites are also included.
Tourism Australia General Manager New Zealand Jenny Aitken says “Australia offers an enormous breadth of experiences, activities and destinations and this website evolution will better help holidaymakers find and book their ideal Australian holiday experience.”
There are more than 30,000 photos to browse as inspiration. Users can search by what other Kiwis love or from holiday secrets as shared by the people who live there.
The easy-to-use website contains detailed information about accommodation, transport, tours and excursions and what’s on. There are even links to YouTube video content to bring ideas to life and TripAdvisor reviews for reliable advice.
Navigation around the site has been made simpler with a predictive search box and a helpful text guiding users around the map and its content.
A mobile version of the website has also been created allowing ‘on the go’ travellers to easily access everything on the ‘Nothing like Australia’ website using their Smartphone devices.
The award-winning Nothing Like Australia website features an interactive map of Australia embedded with consumers’ photographs of their Australian holiday experiences. The global campaign was one of Australia’s most successful consumer-generated promotions ever.
