Research Assistant - Disability Coordination

The Forum Secretariat is looking to appoint a qualified person to the position of Research Assistant – Disability Coordination. This position reports to the Disability Coordination Officer of the Strategic Partnerships & Coordination Programme.

The position will be accountable for:

• Research;
• Policy Analysis; and
• Support to meetings and workshops.

Applicants should have a undergraduate Degree in Social Policy and demonstrated knowledge on disability inclusive development with relevant work experience in policy formulation, disability and education research in Forum member countries.

Applications must be familiar with disability inclusive development issues and be able to work with minimal supervision and meeting tight deadlines. Applicants should also demonstrate a high level of initiative with the ability to think laterally and to identify innovative solutions. Possess excellent oral and written communication with strong analytical skills.

The salary range is F$18,768 to F$28,152 dependent on skills and experience and includes the provision of life and medical insurance. Interested applicants must download an information package containing the job description and remuneration details.
