O Muslim Women of Egypt! Reject Democracy, Embrace Khilafah

O Muslim Women of Egypt! Your Desire to Live by Islam will not be Realized Except by the Establishment of the Khilafah!

Reuters and Al-Jazeera reported that on Sunday 21st of July, large numbers of women demonstrated in Cairo against the killing of three women on Friday 19th July during a pro-Morsi rally in the city of Mansoura. The female protestors were also calling the Egyptian military leadership to re-instate Morsi to his presidency status. The deaths of the women occurred during clashes between supporters of the deposed president and his opponents.

The Women’s Section of The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir would like to make the following points in response to these incidents and worrying political developments in Egypt:

1. We strongly condemn the killing and shedding of blood of all innocent Muslims. Islam abhors, denounces, and outrightly prohibits violence between Muslims in the strongest of terms. The Prophet (saw) said, ‘ ’ “Abusing a Muslim is Fusuq, and killing him is kufr.”

2. We say to our dear beloved sisters in Egypt, your cause to live and rule by the laws of Islam is truly noble. But it will never materialise through engaging in the secular system that has shown time and again to be a guardian and shield regime for Kufr, and to only serve and preserve nothing else but the interests of the secularists and their laws. You are the devoted female servants of Allah (swt) who love your Deen deeply so do not accept the Kufr democratic system that fundamentally contradicts your belief as believers for it places the human being in judgement over Allah (swt)’s Laws.

3. The Islamic view on the political legitimacy of a ruler is not based simply upon being elected into power but to rule exclusively by Islam. This renders Mansour illegitimate requiring his expulsion; as well confirming that Morsi did not rule by Islam either. For both advocate a secular republican system and maintain the non-Islamic treaties with (Israel). Furthermore, democracy has proven to be the knife in the back of this Ummah. It is a flawed system that has failed to secure for the Muslims of Egypt and the rest of the Muslims across the world economic stability, dignity, and security; a divisive system that has fuelled rifts between people and proven incapable of creating harmony and unity within society; a discredited system that as witnessed now in Egypt and in countless other states (democracy) can be manipulated, discarded and overthrown by the very people who champion it according to their political interests.

4. We call our dear sisters in Egypt to reject democracy and embrace exclusively the call for the Khilafah which is the only system that will implement Islam comprehensively and immediately, and deliver for you the true goals of your revolution of political justice, economic prosperity, security, and dignity. We call you to give your support to Hizb ut Tahrir to establish the Khilafah, under the leadership of the eminent mujtahid, Sheikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah. It is a party that embraces a purely Islamic constitution, and carries comprehensive credible Islamic solutions for the multitude of problems afflicting Egypt and the rest of the Muslim world today, that are ready for implementation now.

)) ((

The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those are the successful.” [TMQ An-Nur: 51]
