Compañeros and compañeras from Mexico and the world, our rebel and dignified heart continues fighting for justice and for respect for our autonomy as a people, by struggling we keep alive the struggle of compañero Juan Vázquez Guzmán, who fell in the defense of the territory of San Sebastián Bachajón.

We recently made public knowledge the fact that our organization has founded the gravel quarry Nah Chawuk, in exercise of our right as indigenous people and as ejidatarios to control and protect our territory, and in response to the mismanagement of the principal gravel quarry which currently remains in the hands of the bad government because they have handed it over to the former ejidal commissioner Francisco Guzmán Jiménez (aka the Goyito), the current commissioner Alejandro Moreno Gómez, and the chairman of the Vigilance Commission Samuel diaz Guzman, together with the lands dispossessed since February 2nd 2011, where the bad government has built a toll booth which is administered by the National Commission for Protected Natural Areas.

We also denounce that the political party supporter and officialist (1) ejidal commissioner of San Sebastián Bachajón, Alejandro Moreno Gómez and the Chairman of the Vigilance Commission Samuel Diaz Guzman, have threatened to violently displace us from our gravel quarry Nah Chawuk. These true criminals who say they are authorities of the ejido continue to threaten our organization with violent eviction and with putting up barbed wire on our gravel quarry and say that they are going to do it with the backing of the public security forces. We also have knowledge that they are forging signatures in order to fabricate new assembly minutes behind the back of the General Assembly of Ejidatarios, because they want to illegally overthrow our amparo (2) 274/2011 which is still in force and therefore they have not been able to finally consummate their dispossession. The last assembly minutes forged by Alejandro Moreno Gómez were declared illegal by the Third Collegiate Tribunal in Tuxtla Gutierrez.

We have on two occasions received a summons from the government delegate in Chilón, Chiapas, Francisco Demeza Hernandez, for the 5th and 19th December because he wants to force us to sit down and talk with Alejandro Moreno Gómez and Samuel Diaz Guzman, as if all the injustice, impunity and violence could be resolved in a few minutes sitting in his office, when we have a compañero of our organization in prison, our compañero Juan Vázquez Guzmán cowardly murdered with impunity and our territory dispossessed with the greatest government authoritarianism and cynicism. Such invitations are a trap by the bad government so they can say that they are working and fixing the problem of the ejido.

We hold fully responsible for any aggression, threat, or attempt on the life and integrity of the authorities of our organization, or of our compañeros and compañeras who work in and care for the gravel quarry Nah Chawuk, the following: Alejandro Moreno Gómez officialist ejidal commissioner of San Sebastián Bachajon, Samuel Diaz guzmán officialist chairman of the vigilance commission of san Sebastian bachajon also by occupation a charro (3) teacher, Francisco Guzman Jimenez (aka the Goyito) officialist former ejidal commissioner of San Sebastián Bachajon currently a minion and worker at the toll booth of the bad government , the municipal president of Chilón Leonardo Rafael Guirao Aguilar, Manuel Velasco Coello governor of the state of Chiapas, and Enrique Peña Nieto, president of the republic.

We will not take one step back in our struggle, nor will we allow ourselves to be humiliated and discriminated against in our struggle and organization, because we want to continue being a people, we want to defend our culture and identity, we want to continue being what we are, as our late compañero Juan Vázquez Guzmán used to say.

We demand the immediate release of our compañero ANTONIO ESTRADA ESTRADA (4) unjustly detained in Playas de Catazajá, Chiapas, imprisoned for the struggle of our people. We also demand the release of compañero Alejandro Diaz Santiz of solidarity with the Voice of el amate, held in cereso number 5 in San Cristobal, Chiapas.

Never again a Mexico without us.

From the northern zone of Chiapas, receive a hug from women and men of San Sebastián Bachajón.

Attentively

Land and Freedom!

Hasta la victoria siempre!

Freedom for Political prisoners!

Juan Vázquez Guzmán Lives, the Bachajón Struggle continues!

No to the dispossession of indigenous territories!

Notes:

(1) Officialist - government-supporting

(2) Amparo - order for legal protection

(3) Charro – a trade union leader appointed by, and supporting, the government

(4) This comunicado was read before the liberation of Antonio Estrada Estrada
