"The parliament said that movements of soldiers and vehicles as well as weapons, that are on the territory of Ukraine and belonging to the EU, are possible only if there is a permission of the competent authorities of Ukraine. Ukraine hasn’t given a permission to create an additional contingent of 6 thousand soldiers ", said Prime Minister of Ukraine A. Yatsenyuk at a briefing in the Parliament on Sunday, March 2nd.

Arsenii Yatsenyuk underlines that today the Parliament has made a decision that requires Russia to fulfill immediately the Agreement on the Black Sea Fleet’s temporary presence on the Ukrainian territory, providing fast withdrawal of Russian troops to their bases.

"We also appeal to the Russian President not to take a decision on the actual declaration of war to Ukraine, namely the use of armed forces on the territory of Ukraine", he highlighted.

The Prime Minister noted that today the parliament of a constitutional majority showed unity aimed at the protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine: "Parliament has clearly defined that only the Constitution of Ukraine and laws of Ukraine are acting on the territory of the Crimea. This means that anyone who makes decisions and carries out these decisions on the territory of the Autonomy shall act only within the limits of Ukrainian law".

He added that the parliament had decided to provide additional financing for the formation of the defense of the Armed Forces.

Arsenii Yatsenyuk emphasized that verification of the Armed Forces and the state of law enforcement of Ukraine had been triggered: "In the last four years was carried out a deliberate sabotage against law enforcement and special services as well as against the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and all military units in order to undermine the country's defense. The Military Procuracy and General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine will engage in this issue ".

As the Prime Minister said, despite the fact that "anti-Ukrainian forces had been carrying out subversive activities in the country's defense and that we have a catastrophic situation with public finances, the Government has found an opportunity for financial support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this very difficult period ".

The Prime Minister reiterated that the Russian Federation had and would have no grounds for military aggression on the territory of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which is and will remain a part of Ukraine."
