Women’s March Participants Surpass One Million

WASHINGTON D.C. January 18, 2017. The Women’s March, including its global network Women's March Global (WMG) has officially surpassed one million registered march participants across the world.

“It was clear from week one this was going to be a global movement,” states Evvie Harmon, Global Co-Coordinator, “It's like the women of the world were sitting on a powder keg and Donald Trump lit the match.”

The Women’s March on Washington (WMW) and Women’s March Global (WMG) consists of 616 marches in the United States and overseas, from Baltimore to Beirut. WMG spans six continents with marches in 151 cities across 58 countries, with more events added daily.

The marches will take place on Saturday, January 21st, local time, as part of a united proactive international stance on women’s equality worldwide.
