Zoo Keepers create cutest Koala video ever!
With
'Save the Koala Month' just around the corner, staff at
Sydney's Symbio Wildlife Park have created what is arguably
one of the most adorable koala videos ever, all in an effort
to further drive public affection for Australia's most
loveable marsupial.
Featured in the video are Symbio's most famous koalas 'Imogen, Willow, Harry and James' who over the past 24 months have combined seen their respective videos viewed hundreds of millions of times around the globe through digital and traditional media channels, which has helped foster a new found love and appreciation for Australian wildlife.
Symbio's Koalas, which are famed for their adorable and of course lovable (I'd cut these words out as it's sounding repetitive) nature, are seen throughout the video blissfully enjoying belly rubs and cuddles, which is far cry from the 'drop bear' image that many international guests are expecting.
September is 'Save the Koala Month', which is an initiative of the Australian Koala Foundation aimed at providing international attention to the plight of koalas in the wild and drive much needed donations for the not-for-profit organisation.
With so much habitat destruction occurring as a result of suburban expansion, September is all about making a change and change starts at home.
Currently the koala's conservation status is listed as vulnerable, however in some areas within Australia there are now populations which are deemed as functionally extinct.
