Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight:

From Taranaki to Taupo and Bay of Plenty to Northland: Mostly fine but a few showers from Auckland northwards.

Remaining North Island areas: Cold and showery with further snow about the ranges and central plateau. Long fine periods developing tomorrow with snow levels rising.

For Nelson, Buller and Westland: Fine apart from increasing cloud south of the glaciers tomorrow.

Fiordland: Cloud increasing, drizzle likely from overnight.

Marlborough and Canterbury: Mainly fine inland. Showers continuing about the coast.

Otago, also for Southland: Mainly fine and frosty. Brief showers about the south coast tomorrow.

Chatham Islands: Rain for much of the time.
