Weather Workshop: Short forecast for NZ

Short Forecast valid to midnight tonight:

North and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu,
also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Cloud and
remaining light showers from Taranaki to the central high
country southwards clearing. Fine and frosty elsewhere but
a few showers about Northland.

Gisborne to Wairarapa, also coastal Marlborough: Cloudy with
drizzly showers persisting.

Wellington: Showers becoming confined to the eastern hills. Fine
spells increasing elsewhere.

For Nelson, inland areas of Marlborough, also for the South Island
west coast and Southland: Mostly fine and frosty. This evening
cloud increasing south of the glaciers and about western
Southland.

Canterbury: Clearing inland but coastal drizzle and low cloud
persisting.

Otago: Coastal drizzle clearing this morning otherwise fine and
frosty.

Chatham Islands: Showers continuing.
