Weather Workshop: Short forecast for NZ

Short Forecast valid to midnight tomorrow:

North and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Mainly fine this evening. Tomorrow, cloud increasing with rain developing about western areas late in the day.

Gisborne to Wairarapa: Remaining showers clearing from Gisborne this evening, mainly fine elsewhere. Tomorrow, mainly fine.

Wellington: Fine for the remainder of today. Cloud increasing tomorrow with a few drizzle patches later.

Nelson: Fine for the remainder of today, cloud increasing tomorrow with scattered rain developing later.

Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago: Mainly fine this evening. High cloud spreading from the west overnight. Tomorrow, extensive high cloud with rain developing about the alps.

West of the South Island: Cloud increasing this evening. Drizzle areas about Fiordland. Tomorrow, rain at times.

Southland: Cloud increasing with a few coastal showers tonight. Tomorrow, cloudy with patchy rain about the western ranges.

Chatham Islands: Showery this evening. A mix of cloud and fine breaks tomorrow.
