tomorrow:

From Northland to Taranaki, also for the central plateau: Cloud and fine breaks with showers about the west coast but mainly fine inland.

Bay of Plenty/Rotorua, also from Wanganui to Wellington and Nelson: Fine weather.

Gisborne to Wairarapa: Mainly fine apart from a few cloudy periods about the coast.

Marlborough and Canterbury: A few showers affecting Banks Peninsula today, Elsewhere fine. Fine everywhere tomorrow.

South Island west coast: Fine today apart from showers about the Fiords. Tomorrow, showers spreading as far north as the glaciers.

Otago and Southland: Cloudy periods, showery about the south Coast and Stewart Island. Showers becoming widespread tomorrow afternoon with southwesterlies freshening.

Chatham Islands: Cold and showery.
