For the North Island: Mainly fine over much of the island.
Cloud may become more extensive for a time about Wellington
and in east coast areas south of Napier.

Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago apart from the
south coast: Mostly fine.

Buller and Westland: Cloudy conditions. Some drizzle likely
Later on.

Fiordland, Southland and south Otago: Cloudy skies. Patchy rain
becoming confined to the fiords this morning. Cold showery
weather developing from the south late tonight.

Chatham Islands: A few showers.
