State Highway 6 between Haast and Makarora (including Haast Pass) is due to reopen later today, but traffic management in place on the route will mean delays of up to 30 mins for road users when open.

A further update will be issued later today to confirm the reopening of SH6, and of SH7 between Tekoa Range/the Hanmer Springs turnoff and Springs Junction.
