Lotto NZ Offline & Counters Closing For Major Tech Upgrade |
||
Lotto NZ is reminding customers that all Lotto counters across New Zealand, as well as the MyLotto website and app, will be closed from 7pm this Sunday 28 September until late in the afternoon of Monday 29 September.
The closure is to facilitate a once-in-a-generation technology upgrade spanning the lottery’s core technology platform as well as point-of-sale hardware in stores.
“This weekend is the culmination of an incredible amount of work by our team over the past two years,” says Lotto NZ Chief Executive Jason Delamore.
“Now we're into the home straight. From Sunday evening we’ll be working around the clock to ensure the transition goes smoothly and to get us back online as soon as possible on Monday afternoon.
“Following the upgrade customers will see a range of changes, including new terminals with big screens in our stores and the consolidation of Lotto, Powerball and Strike on to single paper tickets.
“We’re also simplifying the spending limits on MyLotto and bringing new games to Instant Kiwi Online.”
“Importantly, the new system sets us up to deliver transformative customer experiences in future years.”
