Cause to Pause

February 9th - March 4th
LED Lighting above the corner Tory St and Courtenay Place

Out of the ordinary things are happening in the LED lighting above the corner of Tory St and Courtenay Place. Glance up and you’ll see personal ‘Fringe’ thoughts and messages rotating amongst the commercial advertising.

‘Today was a total waste of make up.’
‘And I said to Audrey, if you do that, you’ll get your feet wet. ‘
‘Have you felt your paradigm move lately?’
‘Take your pills Eleanor.’
‘It will be a wondrous day when you eat from my bowl.’

Who said them? What are they about?

Messages have been collected from the Wellington public responding to email networks and flyers around the city.

Contributors were asked to forward messages that might give the curious passers-by a moment in their day to smile, tap into their imaginations or simply wonder.

If you have words you think may give passers-by a moment to wonder, send them to causetopause[at]paradise.net.nz

The project is sponsored by Creative New Zealand. New messages appear daily for the duration of the Fringe Festival 2007.
