Discovered by David Byrne in New York City almost two decades ago, Los Amigos Invisibles has, over 18 years, visited 60 countries, released six albums and won a Latin Grammy in 2009 for their latest album Commercial that embodies their infectious blend of Latin rhythms, funk, disco and acid jazz.

They've recorded and collaborated with the likes of Louie Vega, Dimitri from Paris (Superpop Venezuela) and Masters at Work (Venezuelan Zinga Son) and, despite conquering the local club scene in Venezuela and playing important international festivals, they've not lost any of their enthusiasm for playing their brand of high-octane funk live to fans across the globe.

Commercial stylishly captures the band's inimitable sound, away from the "Latin" music staples of salsa and merengue and firmly establishes them in the musical vanguard of truly international cross-cultural music. Los Amigos Invisibles are bringing their electrifying live show to the Pacific Blue Festival Club for Festival 2010.

"These guys are the grooviest band on the planet... they've captured all the retro fun of 70's funk and dance and the groove of acid jazz, mixed up with electronica, added some of the musical flavour of their native Venezuela and produced a sound that makes you want to dance non-stop".
