A confidential election document that could prove an embarrassment to the National Party has been obtained by One News.
The memo was written by one of Don Brash's closest advisers, Bryan Sinclair, and suggests National leader Don Brash buys his way to power.
A year ago Sinclair told Brash: "Election winning behaviour requires you to slosh those funds around and buy your way to the Treasury benches."
