Scoop Audio: Kiwi Gaza Convoy In Syria, Next Stop Egypt
- Scoop Exclusive: (Audio 22 minutes) Alastair Thompson interviews Julie-Webb Pullman via Skype from Syria about the Viva Palestina Convoy's preparations for departure from Syria bound for Egypt and then Gaza. Also discussed are media arrangements for the voyage, and the reception of the convoy in Turkey and Syria. The convoy is expected to leave in the next 24-36 hours and will be passing through the same waters where the Mavi Marmara was intercepted and attacked by the Israeli Navy and several activists were killed by Israeli Commandos earlier in the year.
