Parliament Begins Last Sitting Of The Year

Parliament will resume today for the last sitting session before the summer adjournment.

After Question Time, MPs are set to vote on the first reading of the Appropriation (2012/13 Financial Review) Bill, which is taken without debate.

This will be followed by the first reading debate on the Land Transport Amendment Bill.

This Bill lowers the adults legal alcohol limits from 400 micrograms (mcg) of alcohol per litre of breath to 250mcg, and from 80 milligrams (mg) of alcohol per 100 Millilitres (ml) of blood to 50mg.

This will be followed by the first reading debate of the Local Government Act 2002 Amendment Bill (No 4) and the interrupted first debate on the Harmful Digital Communications Bill.
