Putin Congratulated On Russian Election Success
President Vladimir Putin has been congratulated on the State Duma election's successful conclusion.
Speaking with Mr Putin on the telephone, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev called the election result "a guarantee for Russia's stability and successful future development".
In a telephone conversation with French President Nicholas Sarkozy, who congratulated Mr Putin on the election victory, the two leaders exchanged views on current bilateral cooperation issues.
