Nine ISAF soldiers die in fighting in northern Kunar
Kabul, Afghanistan - Nine ISAF soldiers died in fighting in northeastern Afghanistan near the Pakistani border.
In addition, 15 ISAF and four ANA soldiers were wounded.
The fighting began in early morning hours and continued into the day as insurgents were repulsed from an Afghan National Army and ISAF Combat Outpost (COP).
Although no final assessment has been made, it is believed insurgents suffered heavy casualties during several hours of fighting.
