Barry Curtis on Herald code of compliance story
Comment from Sir Barry Curtis on Herald story today re
code of compliance:
I find it irresponsible that any council could consider not issuing a code of compliance certificate after a building has been erected in accordance with the building consent that did not require a cavity to be included.
From my point of view it is against all principles of natural justice. I will do my best to ensure that Manukau City Council never puts home owners and builders in such an untenable and unfair position when the proposal comes up for discussion.
