Invitation to Public Meeting on Brothel Bylaw
The Otara Community Board invites interested members of the public to a meeting on Manukau City Council's Proposed Brothel Control Bylaw.
The public meeting will be held on Thursday 26th February 2004 at 5.30 p.m. at the Otara Music Arts Centre.
The draft brothel bylaw controls the location, signage and licensing of brothels only. Brothels will only be able to locate in Business zones 4, 5 & 6 and even then must not be within 250 metres from any sensitive activities such as churches and schools.
Council will
make a presentation on the proposed bylaw and how it may
impact on the Otara community. There will be opportunities
for questions and discussion.
