Delays likely for festive Franklin Road
Private property owners on Franklin Road, Ponsonby will be switching on their Christmas lights on Friday, 1 December.
Traffic delays are expected during this time and people are advised to catch the Link bus, or use nearby car parks and admire the lights on foot to keep traffic flowing in the Ponsonby area.
Drivers who regularly use Ponsonby and Franklin roads at night may wish to use alternative routes during December.
Aucklanders are encouraged to enjoy the lights and use these traffic tips to help make the experience better for everyone.
