25 Nominated for Regional Council
Twenty-five people are to contest eight seats on the Northland Regional Council at this year’s Saturday, 09 October local authority elections.
The Regional Council’s Electoral Officer Linda Stansfield says the official candidate nomination period closed at noon today (subs: Fri 20 August), with 25 nominations received.
Four Regional Councillors are required for the Whangarei District Constituency, three from the Far North, and one for the Kaipara Constituency.
