Hamilton –

Meridian Kids Bike Jam hits Hamilton

The kid’s bike jam comes to the Hamilton region for the first time at the Pukete Farm Park on May 15.

With three courses and a skills area, kids of all ages can participate in a fun-filled off road bike event and receive a medal, water bottle along with a whole load of goodies just for taking part.

This year the bike jam is celebrating it’s tenth birthday, and kids will also get a special anniversary medal.

Although mainly for ages between five and 13, children of other ages can also take part.

“All kids need is attitude, energy, a two wheeler and a helmet,” says organizer Jill Ford.

For the last 7 years families from Hamilton area have had to travel to Rotorua to take part but thanks to the awesome work of the Hamilton MT Bike club, there is now a network of great trails at ‘Pukete Farm Park.
